FAQs

Your questions answered

If you want to run, we don’t want anything getting in your way.

Before

  • What is Virtual Running?

Virtual running pretty much works the same as any other type of run, but the difference is your run with us can be run at any location, at any time, at any pace. All you must do is select which race and provide evidence that you have done it.

  • I don’t live in the UK – can I still participate?

Of course, what we would ask is to get in touch so we can offer you the correct postage price. As you are aware 100% of the profits of your medal and run go to supporting the employment of young people from our programmes so we don’t want to take away your purpose of choosing our Virtual Runs.

  • Are there any restrictions on when or where I complete my run?

No, if you want to run it all in one go or break it up over a time or distance that works for your current

  • Can I enter somebody else into a Virtual Run?

That is very thoughtful of you! Yes, you can buy our runs as a gift all we need is the code/receipt reference and postal address when submitting the evidence and we will ensure it goes to the right place.

Submitting Evidence

  • How do I submit evidence?

When you ordered you medal, you would have received an email from us with details about setting up your account (please check junk folder too). With an account set up, you just need to log in, locate you order and upload confirmation of your completed run. This could be a photo or screenshot of a tracking app, watch or similar. We’ll even settle for a sweaty selfie if that’s your preferred method!

If for any reason you are struggling to record and submit your evidence just email us and let us know. We trust that you’ve put in the effort and appreciate the support you’ve already shown us.

  • What types of evidence do you accept?

Any uploaded screen shot of your tracking app or run time stat.

  • I don’t use a running app – how can I evidence my run?

Well, that’s not idea but we trust you! Just let us know you have completed your run and we can sort it out. What we would say, if you break any world records we cant verify.

  • How long will is take until I receive my medal?

As soon as we receive your evidence, we will get it posted the next working day.

About The Running Charity

  • Where does my money go?

100% of your money goes to supporting the employment of young people from our programmes. This can be towards the costs of existing people from our programmes that are employed by the charity or provide seed funding to help us employ or train more young people.
