Overview

The Pilgrimage to the pub is a journey to the UK’s most remote pub which is only accessible via boat or a 3 day hike. We starts with a drive on the hardest bus to a small Scottish town called Glenfinnan, where we start the hike shortly before crossing under the viaduct (also known as the Harry Potter bridge) and taking refuge in a bothie just a short walk up the track. Over the next 3 days we will trek over 45km through mountain valleys, across rivers and through some challenging terrain, stopping overnight at bothies or camping for accommodation. Once we finally make it to the pub we will have enough time for a boogie (or a rest depending on how knackered you are) before we get the ferry back the next morning and head back down on the bus.

It’s important to note that although this is an empowering and energising trip it is far from a typical holiday. There will be times when you’re tired, achy, sweaty and maybe even ask yourself why you did this? The feeling of accomplishment, stunning views, memories that last a lifetime and the fact we are all here to support a great cause are a few reasons that make the moments of discomfort worth it.

I can show you the way, I can help instill the fundamentals in you to get you to the top and I can even hold your hand up the mountain but I can’t do it for you. By signing up to this I need a level of commitment from yourself that you will prepare adequately and turn up with a half-decent level of fitness. I reserve the right to pull you out at any stage of the trip if I feel your safety is severely compromised or you are majorly affecting the group’s chances of completing the challenge. I will be on hand for training advice and guidance in the lead-up.
