JOGLE 2024: John O’Groats to Lands End
It’s only been a few days since my JOGLE adventure and I’ll already wanna be back out there! Even the bad times feel like good times now.
I’m gonna struggle to respectfully capture all of my feelings and what I experienced throughout the 30 days in this post. I almost feel like it’s been life changing, which is crazy but equally beautiful. Something as simple as running can have such a positive impact on someone. The challenge was gruelling but so rewarding and I’m truly grateful to have done it.
From what started out as me just wanting to challenge myself evolved into something much more meaningful.
I was able to reflect a lot on my life and me as a person, the good and the bad.
I was blown away by the kindness of strangers, their willingness to stop and have a chat. It was so refreshing and a reminder that being nice and simply talking to someone can be so powerful.
I got to see some of the most breathtaking scenery across the UK.
I got to raise money for an amazing charity, big up The Running Charity ♥️
People’s generosity was so heart warming and again a reminder that this country is full of beautiful people.
I feel the love for my friends and family has grew even stronger.
It’s given me the confidence and belief that I can continue to push myself with more challenges like these.
AND!! It’s enabled me to confirm that Chester Sainsburys has the best meal deal options in the UK.
Now all of this sounds like I had the time of my life and don’t get me wrong, I did! But I still had plenty of low moments, doubt, tears, sadness, anger and pain. But I wouldn’t change any of it because it made it all the more meaningful and the good moments extra special. Pain is part of life and what this challenge has helped me better understand is the more I face my pain the more my life gets better.
Roll on the next challenge!!
